Accessibility Statement

1. Our commitment

Terrahills Developments Inc. is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of ability or technology. We work to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, which exceeds the WCAG 2.0 Level AA standard required of Ontario organizations under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and its Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation.

2. What we have done

• Every page is a real HTML document with a single main heading, a logical heading outline, named landmarks and a "Skip to main content" link as the first tab stop.
• All navigation, menus, accordions, image galleries and the cookie banner can be operated with a keyboard alone, with a visible focus indicator on every control.
• Text and controls meet or exceed the 4.5:1 contrast ratio for normal text and 3:1 for large text and interface components.
• Every image carries a text alternative; decorative graphics are hidden from assistive technology.
• Forms have visible labels, clear required-field markers, browser-recognisable input purposes for autofill, and error messages that are announced by screen readers.
• Pages respect the operating-system "reduce motion" setting: scroll animations, the scrolling text bar and the custom cursor are switched off, and the text bar has its own pause control.
• Text can be resized to 200% and pages reflow to a single column without loss of content; pinch-zoom is never blocked.

3. Known limitations

• The map on the Contact page is provided by OpenStreetMap and is not fully keyboard-operable. The office address and a link to Google Maps are provided in text next to it.
• Some project photographs carry the project title as their description rather than a detailed account of what the photo shows. We are adding fuller descriptions as we review the portfolio.
• Documents we send in the course of a project (drawings, specifications, proposals) may be supplied as PDF. We will provide any of them in an accessible format on request.

4. Alternative formats and support

If any part of this website or any document we provide is not accessible to you, we will provide the information in another format, such as large print, plain text or by telephone, within a reasonable time and at no charge. Communication supports are available on request.

6. Technical information

This website relies on HTML, CSS and JavaScript. It is tested with current versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge, with the NVDA and VoiceOver screen readers, and with keyboard-only navigation. Content remains readable if JavaScript is unavailable.
